The Chef Manager in Training Program provides a unique opportunity for highly talented individuals. During the program participants take on assignments in functional areas (Front of the House and Back of the House Operations, Inventory, Client Relations) while receiving maximum exposure to the company's core businesses, technologies and leaders. The Eurest Chef Manager MIT Program is a premier opportunity not only to prepare for a rewarding and challenging career, but also to make a significant contribution to the organization. Phase I - Management Development Participants can expect to participate in functional and leadership developmentEducation:al experiences and mentoring programs, as well as receive on-going coaching and feedback. Phase II - Practical Hands-on Learning - On-site training for all Front of House and Back of House Operations - Training conducted at a designated account with support from your mentor - Develop key training measurables for operational excellence Phase III -Self Directed Assignments and Project Work - No two participant's assignments are the same. Assignments are determined based on the needs of the organization and the goals of the individual. - Further development of the fundamentals of managing accounts During this training program each participant is matched with a mentor - a leader in the same functional area - who is able to provide valuable program and career advice. Mentors are available for consultation on any issue, large or small, and are an integral part of this program. Qualifications for Participation: We evaluate candidates based on grade point average, leadership abilities, communication skills and relevant experience. You must have a Bachelors degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a minimum of 1 year of work experience prior to graduation. Candidates must have the flexibility to travel and rotate to other Eurest locations. Candidates must be willing to relocate upon successful completion of the MIT Program for final placement. Outstanding Results Credibility and Visibility: Rigorous hands-on assignments offer MIT's extraordinary visibility to showcase both their raw talent and willingness to roll up their sleeves. This increased credibility and visibility gives participants more opportunity to demonstrate the full spectrum of their abilities. Placement and Beyond: After gaining an understanding of the full breadth of the organization, program participants are well prepared to make informed decisions about their future. Upon completing the program, participants will be evaluated by the program staff, mentors and managers to identify a possible final placement in a business area depending on individual performance and results, demonstrated leadership behaviors, and business needs. Qualified alumni from this program are expected to assume leadership roles within the organization and, with time, to become Food Service Directors. Recipe to Succeed: - Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills - Good communication skills both written and verbal - Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, guests, client, and associates - Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices - Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications, company software, e-mail and the Internet - Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions - Exhibit courtesy, tact and reasonable speed in performance of duties Necessary Ingredients: - MUST be willing to relocate anywhere within assigned region after completion of training - Bachelor's degree in foodservice/hospitality-related field preferred - Minimum 1 year foodservice experience - High volume production and catering experience is preferred - Computer competency in all MS Office Applications - Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company - Team Player Great People.
